How to manifest your dreams

 

If you have already heard of the Law of Attraction you will be familiar with the concept of manifesting your dreams, aspirations and goals. For those who haven't, I’m going to share some amazing pointers and steps that I learnt from Steffani LeFevour at Mindvalley University last week on how to bring your dreams into reality. If you have heard of the concept before but are sceptical around the subject, don’t worry, by the time you are done reading this article you will be itching to try it out for yourself. 

What is the Law of Attraction?

The main philosophy behind the Law of Attraction is that thoughts become things. It works through manifestation by transmuting the thoughts in your head to materialise in the real world. How does this work? Well everything around us, including ourselves, is made of energy and measured by a vibrational frequency. Every thought and emotion has a different vibration; happiness, love and enlightened emotions are a high frequency and anger, jealousy and resentment are low. The transmutation from thought to thing works through your thoughts and emotions manipulating energy, therefore manipulating the vibrational frequency you are acting on. 

The concept of manifesting your thoughts into things works for positive and negative intentions. For example, if you are constantly thinking about how much debt you are in, chances are you will continue to be in debt until you start thinking about not being in debt. It doesn't mean you need to scan every single thought to make sure they aren’t negative ones, but you do need to become aware of the thought patterns your are repeating.

How do you change your thoughts and get on the right frequency?

The first step in manifesting is to be on the right frequency by being in a high vibration mindset. This means getting out of any destructive or negative thought patters by changing your thoughts. This can be done through meditation, gratitude, tapping, or any technique that will get you on a high emotional frequency. How to manifest?

Manifesting is when you set an intention or a goal to make it a reality. The process of manifesting is all about knowing what you want to manifest - it might be a new job, a new house or to find your soul mate. Whatever you want to manifest, start with an intention and make a list of the things you truly want to bring into your life. Once you have them all clearly defined, you will need to follow the steps below to effectively manifest your dreams.

  1. Focus on the end result
    For each intention you have written down you must focus on the end result. What this means is don’t think of how it’s going to happen, just concentrate on the end result of that goal. You need to trust the process and not worry about how you will get there. Trying to figure out the how will limit your possibilities, so keep an open mind and focus on the bigger picture to create new paths that will lead you to new opportunities.

  2. Get excited and know that it will come
    You must believe that your intention can become your reality and so a powerful way of manifesting is to talk as if it has already happened. Some ways in which you can do this is to talk/write in the present tense and act as if it has already happened - pretend you are waking up and getting ready for your new job, how would you present yourself? Put some post-it notes around your house with your intentions or create a vision board and hang it somewhere you will see it every day. Every time you see these feel the excitement of having it in your life already.

  3. Be grateful and appreciative
    Wanting something you don't have without being grateful for what you do have leads to blocks when manifesting. Gratitude and being appreciative of what you have in your life is the fastest way to reset your mindset at a higher frequency, to allow things to flow through. You must be open to receiving your intentions, goals and the steps that direct you towards your dreams through being grateful for what you have now.

  4. Happiness
    Being happy in the now is essential for you to manifest your goals. If you are feeling unhappy, resentful or unappreciative over your current life, this puts you at a lower vibrational frequency. To manifest, your frequency must be as high as possible. Happiness in the now is the art of allowing your goal to flow into your life.

  5. Take action
    This is the most important step of all. You can sit there and think of all the things you want to manifest but unless you take action towards that intention, you won't get anywhere. The way to activate the manifestation is to take baby steps towards your goal. If you are looking for a new job, make sure your CV is up to date, sign up with job boards and advertising websites or email the company you would love to work for and ask if you can send them some information about you. The actions you take align your thoughts and emotions, sending a clear message to the Universe that you are ready to receive your goal. 

If this is your first time purposefully manifesting something, start with something small. You need to belief in the process and the way to build that belief is to see results. If you start with a goal that is completely unrealistic it’s not going to happen because you won't believe it yourself. Give yourself some time to practise manifesting, the more you practise the stronger your manifesting abilities will be.
